On the other hand, if Shapiro is not serious about climate change, he should stop pretending to know what he is talking about. If Ben Shapiro takes climate change seriously from a distance and is really the genius he presents himself, he should know all about it. Scientists, activists and political experts spent hours researching and writing on these topics. It`s insulting that Shapiro is acting like all this work doesn`t exist. The Paris Agreement does not actually contain any enforcement policies to effectively slow global warming. MIT studies, cited by President Trump, have shown that surface air temperatures will decrease by 0.6 to 1.1 degrees, despite total compliance by member states, by 2100. Despite the near-negligible drop in global temperatures, one of the authors of the MIT study said the president misinterpreted his study and called the agreement „a step in the right direction.“ In a well-intentioned statement, MIT says the Paris agreement will take further action. However, this is neither demonstrable nor part of the agreement and should be regarded as mere speculation of hope. While countries and businesses around the world should actively look for ways to reduce emissions and costs, this agreement opposes this objective. This letter refers to the article entitled „Exiting the Paris Agreement: Merit or Mindlessness?“ by J.
[Thomas] Purdue on 8 June. While I agree that President Trump`s decision to step down is not the end of time and a dead end in preventing climate change, I think this is a serious mistake that should be fought by all American citizens, regardless of their position on the political spectrum. Because of my economic context, I have consistently drawn attention to the economic side of the situation. In response to this article, I say that U.S. measures to send the Paris climate accords will hurt the U.S. economy in the long run. Regardless of your beliefs about climate change, the rationale for reducing CO2 emissions in the scientific community is real and undisputed. That is why all but three countries around the world are now part of these agreements and have begun to invest in renewable energy. The best way to encourage the public to support renewable energy is through public incentives that are unlikely to be put in place without these agreements.
If we lag behind the rest of the world in terms of renewable energy, our economy will not recover in the long run. The pre-investment costs of investing in renewable energy are obviously high, but they are nothing compared to the money spent in the future to repair the damage. There are two types of climate sceptics.
